DIY Speckled Egg Candle Holders
When at the craft store this past weekend, I happened upon the prettiest speckled eggs in the perfect colors and just had to get them. After bringing them into the studio I realized with a little support in the middle they could be turned into DIY speckled egg candle holders for Easter. DIY Thrifted Ombre Candle Holders
Yet again I am impressed by the power of spray paint. I went to my local Goodwill the other day looking for unique bottles for an upcoming project. I figured a little spray paint could definitely improve their look. What resulted were these DIY thrifted ombre candle holders that fit in perfectly with my decor! Just look at those new ombre of colors! Materials to make your own DIY Thrifted Ombre Candle Holders: Montana Gold Spray paint...
DIY Skull Candles for Halloween
Last year I saw the prettiest skull candles from an Etsy seller in the UK. (That is a sentence I never thought I would say!) They were all the pastel colors and made the perfect addition to a pastel Halloween decor set up. While I can’t cast my own candles, I was able to find a way to recreate the look using craft store skeleton heads and and candle wax. These DIY skull candles for Halloween are the perfect combo of spooky and cute and make some fun smoke billows when extinguished. What’s great about these skull candles is that...
DIY Colofrul Candles in Geometric Shapes
These DIY colorful candles in geometric shapes were inspired by my favorite Memphis design group shapes. Candle making is a new craft for me, but I must say that I am obsessed. And using unique shaped molds makes the candles both useful for burning as well pretty for purely decoration. I found the silicone molds on Etsy and while they said that they were for candle making, there weren’t any holes for the wick. I was able poke holes for the wicks using a skewer making them perfect for molding these unique shaped candles! That being said, these molds could...
DIY Terrazzo Candle Holders
This post, DIY Terrazzo Candle Holders, is sponsored by DAP Products, Inc. Thank you so much for supporting the brands that keep the craftiness coming! I know that terrazzo has been a thing for quite a while now, but I am still obsessed. While I have done plenty of faux terrazzo crafts with paint and vinyl, I wanted to up my game and try to make legit terrazzo concrete. And what better way to test those skills than my making DIY terrazzo candle holders! They turned out so adorable, the photos really don’t do them justice! They are just so good!...
